Hi,

I have several SoundPoint IP331 at my work. I was succeded in upgrade firmware from some of them.

But there is one I cannot upgrade. It cannot download 2345-12365-001.log.

I tried with UC 3.3.1 Split/BootRom 4.1.3 and with UC 4.0.1 Split/BootRom 4.4.0b

The result is the same. Phone enters in loop and cannot Find Application.

It's Interesting, because it can download 000000000000.log, you could check on log attached here.

Thanks, SteffenBaierUK. I solved this one, doing these:

  1. I saw that Provisioning Server menu has the same IP in ServerAddr and Upgrade Server, so I decided to empty Upgrade Server entry;
  2. So, the device could download the image, but It told that Image was not correct, because I downloaded to ftp 4.0.1 Combined Version with BootRom 4.4.0B;
  3. I purged ftp contents and downloaded 4.0.1 Split with BootRom 4.4.0B, so I could upgrade this device firmware. Look at the log (from syslog server):

Hello @*** Redbob ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

ANIXTER INTERNATIONAL sold this phone back in 17/02/2010 so at some point, I assume this has worked.

Why does the phone look at 172.24.12.22 twice?

000018.510|copy |3|01|'ftp://voip:****@172.24.12.22/172.24.12.22/2345-12365-001.sip.ld' from '172.24.12.22'

Please ensure you always check the FAQ's and/or utilize the community search before posting any new topics or follow up posts.

Mar 08, 2013 QuestionWhat files does my phone download or upload and why?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

If you still struggle and nobody else has an idea please open a ticket.
In order to raise a support ticket, you need to work with your Poly reseller as they may need to do this for you.

End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Poly support. Available End User Poly services offerings are detailed here

As the unit is no longer within the warranty please be prepared to Pay Per Incident / PPI. This is all outlined in detail here

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Thanks, SteffenBaierUK. I solved this one, doing these:

  1. I saw that Provisioning Server menu has the same IP in ServerAddr and Upgrade Server, so I decided to empty Upgrade Server entry;
  2. So, the device could download the image, but It told that Image was not correct, because I downloaded to ftp 4.0.1 Combined Version with BootRom 4.4.0B;
  3. I purged ftp contents and downloaded 4.0.1 Split with BootRom 4.4.0B, so I could upgrade this device firmware. Look at the log (from syslog server):

Hi, SteffenBaierUK:

You can close this ticket, because I told you I upgraded successfully my faulty IP 331 device. It's working very well!

Thanks,

Hello @*** Redbob

posting within this community does not open a ticket. This is a community forum where volunteers try and help.

If you require help you need to work with whoever sold you the device as already outlined. They can open a ticket with Poly support. If this is outside of warranty you will be offered PPI.

Best Regards
