A Broadworks Outlook plugin we used to click to dial our old SoundPoint 301's has been discontinued and I was looking around for an alternate solution.

I've tried the solution at https://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP-SIP-Phones/Click-to-call-from-browser/td-p/10760, but I get a 501 Not implemented response.

Is there any documentation as to what api's these old phones do support? The Broadworks plugin could obviously do it, but it might have been doing some SIP trickery.

Hello @lantz83 ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

The SPIP301 is end of support since  03/31/2013. At present we do not even know what software version this phone is running.

As outlined >here< I tested this last in UC Software 4.0.0 which is not a version that the SPIP301 can run. The latest version for this phone is 3.1.8 so I suggest to update and test again. If this is already running this version then it is not supported. There is no API for these old phones so maybe look at a more current model.

The phones are running 3.1.8.0070 already, so I guess we're out of luck. Thanks for the help though!

Hello @lantz83

I checked this internally and due to the fact that there is no Microbrowser support on this simple product the support for this feature was not included.

Best regards
