Conference Phone Compatibility

I have an office full of Polycom IP450 phones and found a Cisco 7937 conferencing unit lying around and thought with it being a re-branded polycom soundstation 7000 it would work on our phone system.

Can anyone confirm if I would be able to get the 7937 working on our existing VoIP network?

Re: Conference Phone Compatibility

Hello Larsen,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We manufacture the Polycom Cisco 7937 for our partner Cisco and it only runs their proprietary protocol skinny / sccp and can only be used with their Call Manager Platform.

You cannot convert this phone to run the open standard SIP protocol.

Re: Conference Phone Compatibility

Hello limeng1975,

I am aware that the phone looks similar but it has a different hardware inside.

It is not possible to be converted.
