I'm having a problem conferencing with 2 internal Polycom VVX300 sets and an external number. After I dial the second number and press More -> Conference, my handset will show me as being on a conference call with both numbers, but the first number I called will still be on hold. Meanwhile the second number I call can still hear me. The regular procedure for conference calling works fine when I dial out from my handset to 2 external numbers. Can someone please tell me what the issue might be?

Hi,

As I stated in my post, when I follow those steps to join calls with another office phone and an external number, the person on the first call cannot hear me even though my phone will show the call as a 3 way conference.

Hello rhodge,

you original post did not state this and mentioned they are still on hold.

This may be a simple issue with a local or remote firewall so I can only ask you to check the actual call via this FAQ post:

Jan 19, 2012 Question: How to troubleshoot Polycom VoIP related Issues?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The above explains how you can verify that the RTP between the phones is flowing both ways.

If you are unable to do so please contact your Polycom reseller so they can open a Polycom service ticket for you.
