Configuration file on IP7000

Hi

I someone who is new to using polycom devices and I am planning to connect a soundstaion IP7000 and reading all the information. Do you have to have the cfg file on a seperate server or is it the same as programming the unit via the web access? and also where do you get the cfg to edit for the IP7000. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Daryl

Re: Configuration file on IP7000

Hello Daryl,

configuration files would always be stored on a provisioning server or on a local PC if a Software like UCS 4.x.x is used.

The Phone will always try and backup it's current configuration to the provisioning server and newer Software Versions like UCS 4.x.x offer the possibility to backup a current configuration via its web interface.

The Web Interface offers limited access to settings depending on the Software Version used.

An example for a simple SIP registration is shown => here <=

The FAQ => here <= holds an overview of the most asked questions and the Admin Guide matching your Software version should be consulted if further questions arise.

For real support your Polycom reseller should be contacted and they can raise a ticket with Polycom support if they are unable to help you.

Best Regards
