Contacts with photo, ldap problem and russian keyboard. RP Trio 8800

Today I have received this device. I use SIP and I have upgraded to latest FW.

I could not find in admin guide how to add contact with photo.

On picture I can see that there are contacts with photo (bottom row)

Other problem:

I have configured ldap and it works.

But it offers me to search users by first name\ last name. It is not really comfortable to use.

Does RP 8800 Trio able to make query to AD to show me whole list of users and their phones?

Cyrillic names in our setup remain in displayName field and it's type is binary. Is it possible to use this field to show in contacts?

I have russian interface but keyboard is on english!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Reconfigured it to LYNC. But  stil I do not see contact's photos.

Hello someuserman,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The problem with stating the latest software is that one it has been posted nobody knows what version you mean in a week, month or a year down the line.

So please always post the full information as what you see as latest may already be outdated.

In addition when using the Trio with LYNC or Skype for Business a Polycom per device license is required as explained => here <= and you must post => here <=

In addition the photos are just marketing and not yet integrated and due Non Disclosure Agreement / NDA I am unable to comment.

LDAP gives you an enhance search where you can specify up to 5 different options. The Keyboard on the Trio is always in English.

Here is some good news, as a workaround you can manually change the keyboard language to Russian either in addition to the system language or exclusively.  This has not been fully tested - use 'as is'.

1. Steps to manually configure Russian keyboard language:
   
   1) Go to a Trio 8800 screen that displays the keyboard e.g. Dial A a Number and tap the keyboard icon to make the virtual keyboard appear
   
   2) tap and hold the ',' (comma) button of the virtual keyboard and release
   
   
   3) Select 'Input Languages' from the overlay menu called 'Input options' that appears on the screen
   
   4) Uncheck 'use system languages'
   
   
   
   5) Check 'Russian' from the list of keyboard languages either in addition or exclusively (uncheck all other languages)
   6) Tap the home button to return to the home screen

Switching between multiple keyboard languages:

When multiple keyboard languages are enabled a 'globe' icon is displayed on the virtual keyboard. Tap the keyboard to switch between the keyboard languages configured.
