Corporate directory / Activation

Hello,

 

Here my configuration :

Phone : VVX 400

Soft : 5.6.0.17325

Ldap serveur : OpenLDAP 

 

Regarding this i need 2 informations :

1. Do i stille need for this UC version a licence for LDAP directory ?

2. Do you have a sample configuration so i start to test it ?

Hello,

 

I folow the steps y send me but visibly it is not working, i have a search screen but no result.

 

In the log i can only see 1 line with LDAP witch is : 

 

0926031342|ldap |4|00|cDynamicData::activate:cDynamicData::activate() m_pCfg->lookupHost() = 1

 

I will also have some question regarding the reste of the configuration so each filde has several seting witch are :

dir.corp.attribute.1.filter=""                  # what is this for how does it work ?

dir.corp.attribute.1.label="Nom"         # Label to show on phone screen for this filde

dir.corp.attribute.1.name="sn"           # LDAP file name to match with this phone filde

dir.corp.attribute.1.searchable="1"    # I supose possible to search on this zone or not? But event if some file on 0 it appares in search form on the phone (in my case)

dir.corp.attribute.1.sticky="0"            # What is this for ?

dir.corp.attribute.1.type="last_name"# Visibli can have several standard type what is the compleet list of type and impact ?

 

Is it also possible to link an LDAP photo filde on the phone corp directory ?

Hello rheylens,

No we do not support AD Photos.

 

The already provided FAQ and this:

should contain enough details to troubleshoot this and explain the various parameters. In addition the UC Admin Guide matching your Software Version should be consulted.

 

I already provided a configuration example in the openLDAP FAQ which will work if the instructions are followed. 

 

You can post more logs or wait for other community members to try and help you.

 

If all of this fails the next step is to open a ticket.


In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you. End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post either your phone's MAC address or your Polycom devices serial so I can look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Polycom device from.
