Hello,

I'm trying to do the same thing, and having no end of issues. I was originally trying this using version 4.0.1.13681, but because you mentioned there were issues with the se settings, I tried updating to 4.0.3.7562.

The problem I am having is with the ringback tone, I can't get it to change from the default US tone.

The dialtone can be changed without issue, it works, with both firmware versions, and the German and UK example settings work, but the ringback doesn't change, for either the Aus tone examples i've found, or your publlished UK and German examples.

I've tried resetting the phone, in case there was a local setting overriding it, but still can't get it working.

Is there something other than just the se and tone settings that need to be added to the config file to do this? or is there a setting that is perhaps set which makes it ignore custom tone and se settings? I can't see anything obvious in the config file I'm using that would do this though.

I can also submit my config file for review if necessary.

Thanks,

Simon

Hello Simon,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I have moved this post from => here <= as the original posters issue was fixed.

You have a different issue and I would suggest to check via Wireshark if you get a 183 from your Network that would cause the phone to playback the remote Ringtone instead of your locally created one.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
