We are deploying both VVX400 & VVX600 phones, and are customizing the softkeys to clean the features up a bit.
We have some changes that we want to make depending on which model the phone is, we have been told you can specify this in the cfg file with something like "softkey.1.vvx600" for the feature, but have been unable to make this work. Does anyone have any success with something like this? The newcall button is one that we were trying to customize for example, and we can affect the change on both phones but only want it on one. Any insights??
Thanks in advance.

Hello speedin2000,
most of our Parameters are case sensitive.
<NewCall feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled="1" softkey.feature.newcall.VVX600="0" />
Above will work
<NewCall feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled="1" softkey.feature.newcall.vvx600="0" />
This example will not work

Well first thank you, I did look at the admin guide but somehow did not see that now obvious heading.
I am on version 5.0.1 on the VVX series.
So if I wanted to disable the newcall button a VVX600, does this look right? softkey.feature.newcall.vvx600=0
Or am I missing something? I can call just one feature correct? Or do I need to do the whole file? If I remove the .vvx600 section it will apply (but to both phone modesl, 500 & 600).
Thanks again

Hello speedin2000,
not knowing if you are actually aware but any change to a softkey needs this as stated below:
Note: feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled must be enabled (set to 1) to use the Configurable Soft Key feature
Above comment is from the admin guide.
Please check the FAQ here for more softkey examples:

Thank you Steffen, Yes I have that enabled in the config.
If I use this:
softkey.feature.newcall=0
I am able to remove the key, but it goes away on both models. I changed it to
softkey.feature.newcall.vvx600=0
and then it does not affect either model. Am I misunderstanding the proper syntax or how this is supposed to work?
Thank you again,
