I've recently purchased a D60 for testing and I'm trying to determnine if a certain configuration is possible with multiple handsets.

Currently I have the D60 base and one handset paired with a VVX 601. Works great. The D60 has the duplicate extension of the 601.

Can I had 4 more handets that function the same way as this configuration, but those 4 other handsets have the extension of 4 different phones, and still the one base station?

If possible, how?

Using Asterisk if that matters.

Hello @seanmh ,

No line configuration is actually done on the VVX D60. All configuration has to be done on the "host" VVX phone.

A Mac address, as already outlined, will help me identify the relevant reseller who is your Tier 1 support contact and can train you on the product usage.

Hello @seanmh ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Yes the handsets can have different registrations from the VVX.

May 04, 2016 Question:Are there any known VVX D60 Wireless Handset Limitations or how do I pair a D60 to a VVX?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

How is this configured? Does the line registration on the d60 need to have the same registration (server, id, pass) as the phone it's mimicing? Any specifics are greatly appreciated because I couldn't figure out how to accomplish this from the documentation, forums, KB or playing around with the settings.

Hello @seanmh ,

the linked FAQ post shows that you have a matrix with simply assigning individual lines to either the handset or VVX or both.

Every line can have a different server.

If you struggle with this please raise a ticket.

In order to raise a support ticket, you need to work with your Poly reseller as they may need to do this for you.

End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Poly support.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter providing your MAC address or your Poly devices serial will enable us to look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Poly device from.

If the unit is no longer within the warranty please be prepared to Pay Per Incident / PPI. This is all outlined in detail here

Thanks for the followup.

The confusing part is where the lines are configured. Does the phone that the D60 base station is plugged into, need to have these additional lines configured on itself? If I need to configure the lines on the D60 base station, won't doubling up on the registration cause problems (i.e. the secondary deskphone has the same registration as the D60 line 2)?

Should I send ethe MAC here or via another method?
