Usually the Phones are able to write any configuration changes made via the Phone GUI or Web Interface back to the Provisioning server.
Depending on the provisioning method the upload of the file may not be possible.
Since UCS 3.3.0 additional seperate Backup functionalities have been added to the Phone GUI.
