Hello,

At my organization we use a combination of Polycom Soundpoint IP 335s and 650s, and we've recently upgraded the firmware to 4.0.8.

What I'm wondering is, whether there's any way to set the default transfer type for these. By default they do a consultative/warm transfer, where the call is put on hold and doesn't transfer until the person on the other line picks up. A blind transfer is only done if the user explicitly chooses the softkey. This has led to some complaints about calls not transferring correctly when users try to transfer a call to another user's voicemail. Is there any way to set "blind" as the default transfer type?

Hello Tech07,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Only UC Software 5.3.0 added the default transfer type configuration option.

This software will not run on your phones and you would either require to work on an EFK option if possible or raise a feature request via your Polycom reseller providing a business plan justifying the change.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
