Hi there,

I have the PDC 1.0 installed on my desktop and have a connection with the VVX500 made (the button is red / gray).
But I see nothing on the desktop which could have to do with the VVX500.
Do I look the VVX screen on the desktop?

Does anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong?

Thank you Greeting Günter

Hello Günter,,

there is no Outlook connectivity directly by Polycom and you would need to check for third party solutions.

I am not sure what you mean by subscriber number status but we do offer BLF or Buddy Watch.

I suggest you check out the VoIP FAQ

Hello Günter,

The PDC simply enables you to use your mouse and keyboard with the VVX phone.

Just move the mouse pointer to the right or left (depending how you set this up) beyond the screen border and it will appear on the VVX screen.

Hi there,

it worked.
Is there a desktop solution for the VVX500? (Use Outlook phone books, subscriber number status, etc.)

Thanks.

Good Morning,

support the VVX500 the TAPI Funktion?

When I think about the TAPI driver can make calls via Outlook and it would be a good solution for the phone book.

Thanks alot Günter

Hello Günter,

Like I mentioned above there is no solution from Polycom that enables any aitomated telephony functionality in conjunction with a PC.

We have a local phone book in XML format or integrate with LDAP.

Feb 04, 2013 Question: Can I remotely control the Phone or send content to the Phone?

Answer: The <apps/> parameter can be used to utilize the push server controls and more information can be found => here <=

Above FAQ post explains how you could implement a solution to do so but you would require someone or yourself to program this.
