Hi ,

Our current UC enviroment has all device is 3.3.2 with central Provisioning and I am trying to force it to upgrade to 4.0.7 via change in DHCP settings for devices from a specific location.

The problem I find here is I need to manually set 'Reset dev. settings'  or Key Combination to get new DHCP settings. Any other way do it from central Provisioned devices  by changing config files?

Thanks.,

Hello Ganesh,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: Reboot the Phone remotely or via the Web Interface

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Above explains how to use the SIP Notify Check-Sync in order to prompt the phone to check for its new configuration.

If you enable a reboot on Check-Sync, by changing your configuration file, you can send the above explained and the phone will reboot and used the DHCP process to get an IP and therefore find the new server and will update.
