Hi,

I have a customer that would like to dial only 9911 (not 911).  Am i missing something in the dialplan below that is allowing the 911 call to go through?

<dialplan dialplan.applyToCallListDial="0">
    <dialplan.digitmap dialplan.digitmap="9911|9,[2-8]11|90T|+9,011xxx.T|9,0[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|9,1[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|9,[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|173xxxxx|9,[2-9]xxxxxxT|0xxx|1[0-6]xx|1[8-9]xx|17[0-2]xx|17[4-9]xx|173xT|[2-8]xxx|1xT|2xT|3xT|7xT|#xx[#T]|*xx.[#T]" />
  </dialplan>

<dialplan>
<dialplan.routing>
<dialplan.routing.emergency dialplan.routing.emergency.outboundIdentity="" dialplan.routing.emergency.preferredSource="ELIN"
dialplan.routing.emergency.1.description="Emergency" dialplan.routing.emergency.1.value="9911" dialplan.routing.emergency.1.server.1]"1" />
</dialplan.routing>
</dialplan>

i think i need to clarify this...with that dialplan, they are being allowed to dial both 911 and 9911.

Hello shazamm,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

In addition your example contains an error:

dialplan.routing.emergency.1.server.1]"1" />

should be

dialplan.routing.emergency.1.server.1="1" />

In addition:

  • Is this a normal SIP server or LYNC ?
  • Is this on hook or off hook dialing?

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

I have corrected my typo but no change.  This is a normal SIP server and the customer reports that they can dial either on whether on or off hook.

Hello shazamm,

firstly the Digitmap is only applied if the number is dialled off hook.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: Phone unable to Dial a number when Off Hook or on 2nd Call in a Conference

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The above FAQ post can be utilized to troubleshoot the Off Hook dialing issue.

Hi,  we have an ACME SBC that i think is where we are going to block the 911 dialing at.  Thanks for the assistance.

Did anyone figure out this was a lync / SfB setup.   I am trying to setup emergency dialing for a phone that isn't signed into Skype for Business.  Looking to see if that if this all that is needed for the setup.

<dialplan.routing.emergency dialplan.routing.emergency.outboundIdentity="tel:17635551200" dialplan.routing.emergency.preferredSource="Config" dialplan.routing.emergency.1.description="911" dialplan.routing.emergency.1.server.1="1" dialplan.routing.emergency.1.value="911"></dialplan.routing.emergency>

LineURI dialing is enabled.

Looking to see anyone has set this up since I need 911 dialing when someone hasn't signed into a phone.

or if there is a softkey option to add for 911 dialing as common area phone or auto sign in to common area phone setup.
