Disable Blind Transfer 'cause Auto Answer

End user has auto answer on internal calls. This includes auto answer on blind transferred calls which is not good. The burden of proper use cannot fall on the phone user because monkeys were hired. End user now wants to disable Blind transfers all together. I've combed through the forums and manuals and cannot find a solution to simply disable the blind softkey. Is there any way to do this?

Well I decided to take a different route. Being unable to disable the Blind transfer button, I modified the Asterisk dialplan to check for the existence of the ${BLINDTRANSFER} variable, and if it exists to skip adding the "Ring Answer" header. Tada, having and eating the cake.

Example dialplan:

exten => _.,1,GotoIf($[${EXISTS(${BLINDTRANSFER})}]?skipped)
exten => _.,n,SIPAddHeader(Alert-Info: Ring Answer)
exten => _.,n(skipped),MAGICHAPPENS
exten => h,1,Hangup()
