VVX600, version 5.0.2, Lync 2013 paired with BToE 2.1

Is it possible to create a EFK to transfer a call to someone's Voicemail.

Ex) Call to office main number (Response group), receptionist answers and needs to direct transfer that call to someone's voicemail.

I tried the following configuration for a simple transfer to voicemail and the softkey appears on the VVX 600 but does nothing when pressed.

 <feature feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled="1" />
 <softkey softkey.8.label="ToVMail" softkey.8.action="^*55$P1N10$$Tinvite$"
softkey.8.use.alerting="1" softkey.8.insert="8" softkey.8.use.idle="0" softkey.8.enable="1" />

Thank you.

Hello TTMing,

your above example is a copy & paste from the Admin Guide.

The Admin Guide actually contains this remark:

Tip: Active Call Transfer Star Codes Depend On Your Call Server
The exact star code to transfer the active call to Voicemail depends on your call server.

Did you check with Microsoft that your example is the correct Star Code to transfer to the Voice Mail of an individual extension?

Firstly the example you are using is incorrect and I had this changed for future Admin Guides as we do not support the functionality if the call is not answered.

softkey.2.use.alerting="1" is actually used during a phone signaling an incoming call.

You would want the softkey being displayed whilst the call is answered or on hold.

The FAQ contains all the relevant post's for this and any follow up should be via your Polycom reseller.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

I am wondering if you were able to figure this out?

I got this to work (assuming *55 is direct transfer to VM on your switch)

        softkey.1.enable="1"
        softkey.1.label="VM"
        softkey.1.action="^*55$Trefer$"
        softkey.1.use.hold="1"
        softkey.1.use.park="1"
        softkey.1.use.active="1"
