I had a softkey setup with the following action string on SPIP 4.x that would refer the current call to *3, hangup, then call 650.  This was working fine.

efk.efklist.x.action.string="*3$Trefer$$Cpause1$$Changup$$Cpause1$650$Tinvite$"

We just upgraded to SPIP 5.2.0.8330 and now the softkey always stops after $Trefer$.  I've replaced *3$Trefer$ with $Fhold$ also $Tinvite$, both work fine and it will complete the entire action string.

I tried downgrading the phones both from the web GUI and pointing them to a tftp server with a older 4.0.x and 4.1.x firmware but it will not downgrade.

I'm guessing I'll need to open a ticket with my reseller but should I be able to have items in the action string after a refer or is that no longer supported?

Hello Eli,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Nov 25, 2011 Question: How can I change the functionality of a softkey button / use EFK?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The above includes a troubleshooting section as I am not aware of any EFK related issues.

Upgrading / Downgrading is explained here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: How can I setup my Phone / Provisioning / Download / Upgrade / Update / Downgrade Software?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

The next step would be to raise a ticket with Polycom support via your Polycom reseller.

Thanks, the EFK logging pointed me in the right direction.  It's actually the Cpause causing it.

I assume this is a bug so I'll follow up with my reseller.

Hello Eli,

you may want to see the SIP logging as well as it could simply be the far end rejecting the INVITE or so.

I think you're right about it dropping the call.

I found 70$Trefer$$Changup$650$Tinvite$ works as expected which is an asterisk paging group.  Sip logging shows the call drop with reason code 6 but it does complete the action

I then tried to use it with group paging with the following action string 70$Trefer$$Fpage$$FDialpad1$.

It gets as far as parking the call and opening the paging screen but doesn't push the dialpad key to initiate the page.  I've tried adding pauses between Trefer, Fpage, and FDialpad with no change.

Any other advice?  Here's the log with a couple of lines removed identifying servers and endpoints.

Hello Eli,

this goes into support territory which I cannot offer via the Polycom community.

If you are seeing the PAGE dialog pressing 1 does not do anything as the numerical keys are for selecting the different page groups.

If you do it manually you will see a PAGE softkey. Depending on the phone model (I used a SPIP650) its softkey4.

I'll open a ticket for this then.

On the VVX 410 I'm testing with when I push  paging I get a list - 1 default, 2 recent, 3 emergency.  Pushing the corresponding button on the dialpad does initiate the page for me.  I also tried with softkey4 which works too.

Thanks again for the help.
