I'm very new to programming the VVX phones trying to customizing them for out end users. The only palce I make changes are via the web console and uploading the web.cfg file as shown below.

I have a request to create line keys on a 40 key expansion unit to allow the receptionist to push a button that will allow the current call to be warm transffered to an extension.

Process now is:

1- hit transfer button,

2- enter extension,

3-hit send.

4- Speak with person at extension,

5- hit transfer

I would like to create a keys that automate the first 3 commands. Can I upload all these option via the web.cfg? So far i have been able to make everything work that way.

Here is my current web.cfg

Hello cjones,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

In addition you may want to look at the Option 6 example here:

Nov 25, 2011 Question: How can I change the functionality of a softkey button / use EFK?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

and maybe at this post:

Jan 12, 2012 Question: Can I change / re-assign the appearance of  Line, BLF, Speed Dial and Presence Keys?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
