Our desktops are on a different VLAN from our phones.   I think I read somewhere that VVX web access is only available from the same VLAN.

I assume that is why the phone says "The document requested was not found on this server" (404) when I browse to it.

Can this be changed to allow access from a list of trusted IPs?

Hello hkelley,

there is no restriction that I am aware off on the phone end.

Are you using the IP address or some stored URL ?

This is the warning I was referring to:

"You can access the Web Utility using any compatible Web browser installed on your PC. Before you begin, you will need to ensure that the phone is on and that your PC and phone are on the same virtual local area network (VLAN); otherwise you won’t be able to connect to the Web Utility."

Does it not apply to 5.0?

Never mind,  I had enabled the web server but had not enabled web administration.   That is why I was getting that message.

How did you enable web administration? im currently getting this error on all of our phones from different computers on the same lan. I used to be able to access the web interface without any issues.

Hello ,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

As reminded already => here <= the last time it is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

Did you ever get this issue fixed ?

Please also include if you are using a SIP server or a LYNC server
If LYNC or Skype please provide Version details and if these are on premise of off premise

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

  • What has changed that now triggers the issue?
Did you upgrade the phones and if yes from what Software Version?

  • Can you attach a screenshot of the error message?
