FROM Polycom UC Software 4.1.0 Administrators’ Guide:

"When you access the voicemail server, the phone gives a visual and audio alert; you can also configure a message waiting alert to indicate that you have unread voicemail messages Table 7-26: Voicemail Integration shows you the parameters you can configure...

up.mwiVisible

"Specify if message waiting notifications should display or not"

ALSO

se.stutterOnVoiceMail
"If set to 1, a stuttered dial tone is used in place of a normal dial tone to indicate that one or more voicemail messages are waiting at the message center"

Relevant parameters from my initial configuration file follow:

    up.mwiVisible="1"
    up.oneTouchVoiceMail="1"
    msg.mwi.1.callBack="*98"
    msg.mwi.1.callBackMode="contact"
    reg.1.callsPerLineKey="2"
    feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled="1"
    key.SPIP335.10.function.prim="$FMessages$$Cwc$p1234"

Note that se.stutterOnVoiceMail is on by defaut.

This may be a limitation of the SPIP335, but I get no notification of voicemail messages waiting. Nothing on the screen, and no stuuter. What is it that I am missing?

Hello Luther,

welcome to the Polycom Community and thanks for providing all the relevant details in the initial post.

UC Software 4.1.0 and 4.1.1 , as stated in the release notes, is LYNC only so I can only assume you are using this with a SIP server.

In order to utilize the MWI functionality the phone usually subscribes to the server and the server then notify's the phone about any voice mails.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Jan 19, 2012 Question: How to troubleshoot Polycom VoIP related Issues?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

The above provides information how the phones logs or wireshark can be utilized to trouble shoot this. In addition you may want to reach out to whoever is providing your service.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
