Hi everyone,
We currently have an issue with VVX 1500 and BLF. When we monitor someone with VVX 1500, the status is updating when the monitored contact is receiving a call, but we cannot pick up his call. When you touch the contact name on the screen, it's dialing the monitored contact number.
With Polycom soundpoint 650, it's working : We can pick up call on monitored contacts.
On both phones, we are using 4.0.2b firmware.

Hello Knuckles,
as far as I am aware does the VVX1500 not support enhanced BLF.
Some parts of the Admin Guide are not correct in this case and a internal documentation bug has been raised.
Page 394 shows that only the following Handset's support the attendant functionality:
<attendant>
These parameters are only supported on the SoundPoint IP 450, 550, 560, 650, and 670 phones.
The Busy Lamp Field (BLF)/attendant console feature enhances support for phone-based monitoring.
In the following table, x is the monitored user number. For IP 450: x=1-2; IP 550, IP 560: X=1-3; IP 650, IP 670: x=1-47.
Directed call pickup will currently not work with the VVX1500 and you will have to raise a feature request via your Polycom Sales Engineer to bring this to the attention of the product management.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hi,
Has this been fixed in the recent firmware versions please. If yes, will it need a special config. As i tried in 5.3.2.0208 and still just rings the other party instead of picking their calls.
Regards
Robert

Hello Robert,
welcome back to the Polycom Community.
Did you ever have a chance to follow your first post up => here <= ?
In regards to this post from back in 2012 I am unsure if you are using a VVX1500 or any other phone.
This is not a bug so therefore there is nothing to fix as the phone in question simply does or did not support that feature back in 2012.
The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Nov 4, 2011 Question: How can I setup a Busy Lamp Field / BLF with an Digium Asterisk SIP Server?
Resolution: Please check => here <=
Not knowing what platform you are actually using I would suggest you look at the above FAQ post and check the suggestions as this obviously depends on the Call Server and the BLF method being used.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hi Stefen,
Thanks for your update. For some reason, I am not alerted when you responded to my query in this forum and hence didnt realise i had an answer.
I am still using VVX1500 on Broadworks by Broadsoft R21SP1.
Regards
Robert
