I have several IP7000 that have been in use for some time becoming unusable and eventually become bricked and need replacings. We just replaced one, and the new IP7000 is showing the same symptoms the others had before becoming bricked.

A user usually first reports that the IP7000 will not make a call, or that it will only work for one or two calls before needing a reboot. Soon its reported that the device displays “corrupt file system, please format” with the only option as “Fix.” Once the fix is done (a very long process), the device will work for a few days or uses before the issue returns. Eventually, the device will get to the point that “fix” no longer works and the device is just stuck on the Polycom splash screen. The devices will some time display "Error, Application not present" as well.

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

 

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

I believe the devices UC Software version is: 4.0.10.0568

4.0.12 is the latest currently supported version that should be utilized.

The current device we are working with and have immediate access to is completely bricked. it will only load to the Polycom splash screen.

I have devices in the field that have MACs with 0004F and 64167 that are having this issue. The one mentioned in my last reply is a 0004F.
