[FAQ] I get the error Message "error loading 00xxxxxxxxxx.cfg" and then Phone continues to reboot

If a Polycom Phone is booting and displaying the error message: "Error loading 000XXXXXXXXX.cfg" simply means that it cannot find it's individual configuration file on the Provisioning Server.


Note: 000XXXXXXXXX is just a placeholder for a MAC Address usually starting like 0004F or the new range 64167F !


A Phone will always attempt to load it's own 000XXXXXXXXX.cfg first before it attempts to download the 000000000000.cfg.


000XXXXXXXXX.cfg can simply be a copy of the 000000000000.cfg stored with the matching MAC address of the Phone to load individual configuration files.


Note: Please check your Admin Guide matching the software version your phone is running!


If above message is displayed please ensure that you provide a Provisioning Server so the phone can dowload it's software and standard configuration.
