Hello,

 

We recently switched VOIP providers and subsequently also switched out our phones to another brand. We'd like to format some of our old Polycom IP550 phones. My problem is that the phones can't get past the Contacting Boot Server ... waiting for network to initialize messages in order for me to get to the menus that would allow me to get to the Advanced Settings on the phones thru the Menu button.

 

Anyone have any recommendations on how to get an IP550 phone back to factory default configuration (without any of the VOIP provider software/settings) if you can't get to the menu's?

Hello Val,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

You will need a Provisioning Server as described in the FAQ so the phone can boot and load its software,
