I am trying to find a way to factory reset a phone from the web interface or any other method from remote.  I have the passwords and know exactly how to do it physically but I have not found any way to do so remotely.  I can reboot the phone via the switch by turning off the POE and back on but it doesn't solve my issue of factory resetting.  I need the phone to redownload the configuration file from our provisioning server.

Hello Convergint,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to post your current software version as the reply depends on this.

The latest UCS 4.x.x software has a functionality for this built into the Web Interface.

Prior to this other methods can be used.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Feb 04, 2013 Question: Can I remotely control the Phone or send content to the Phone?

Answer: The <apps/> parameter can be used to utilize the push server controls and more information can be found => here <=

Above explains how to remotely control the phone which would enable you to send the same commands that can be used manually on the phone to factory reset.

In addition the DHCP Options can be used to provide a phone with its provisioning server address or a SIP Notify can be used to prompt the phone to check its configuration on the server.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
