Failover configuration

Hi,

We have a PBX with failover. We want to configure our Polycom 330/331 to make 4 retries on the first server before switching to the second server. The polycom is not making any retries after the first fail. It automatically switches to the second server.

We are running SIP 3.2.4.0267, Bootrom v4.1.2.0037

Here is how we have configured our polycom:

phone-MAC.cfg:

<reg

…

reg.1.server.1.address="VM.SIP.com"

reg.1.server.1.transport="UDPonly"

reg.1.server.1.port="5060"

reg.1.server.1.expires="3600"

reg.1.server.1.register="1"

reg.1.server.1.retryTimeOut="1000"

reg.1.server.1.retryMaxCount="4"

reg.1.tcpFastFailover="1"

reg.1.auth.optimizedInFailover="1"

/>

SIP.cfg:

<server

...

voIpProt.server.1.failOver.reRegisterOn="1"

voIpProt.server.1.failOver.failRegistrationOn="1"

voIpProt.server.1.failOver.failBack.mode=""

voIpProt.server.1.failOver.failBack.timeout="0"

....

</server>

<A dns.cache.A.1.name=" VM.SIP.com"

      dns.cache.A.1.ttl="120"

      dns.cache.A.1.address="192.168.0.74"

      dns.cache.A.2.name=" VM.SIP.com"

      dns.cache.A.2.ttl="120"

      dns.cache.A.2.address="192.168.0.154" />
