We have 5 brand new VVX 300's and cannot get favorites to be displayed in Lines Display mode.

We have read the User manual and followed the instructions, but no success.

Re: Favorites will not display VVX 300

Hello commonc,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Have these favorites got an Favorite index assigned to them?

If no then they will not be displayed on the main screen and only in the directory instead.

I'm having the same issue.  I cannot located adequate instructions in the 113 page user manual and I have added my co-worker as a Favorite (Index 1) but cannot find how to program their line to appear in my home screen lines.

Re: Favorites will not display VVX 300

Hello NP9,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

In addition it is also useful to state if you are using a SIP switch or LYNC.

  • If LYNC simply use your LYNC client to add users to your phone by setting them as a Favorite
  • If sip just follow the examples provided on the Polycom VVX Business Media Phones User Guide - UCS 5.2.0 page 101 => here <=

Your SIP PABX must support the buddy watch functionality.

You could also use the following FAQ posts:

Nov 4, 2011 Question: How can I setup a Busy Lamp Field / BLF with an Digium Asterisk SIP Server?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

or

Aug 06, 2013 Question: How can I use the Buddy Watch feature?

Resolution: Please check => here <=
