Hello,

i set up a ftp local server with differents versions who works like a charm.

I need to downgrade some polycom with version 5.3.1.0436.

I download from the polycom website : http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/voip/uc_sw_releases_matrix.html

the version 5.3.1 split.

But when i try to downgrade or upgrade with this version , nothing happen to the phone.

I test 5.6.0 , 5.3.0 , 5.4.5 , with no problem..

Maybe files are corrupted in this version ?

Good to know : If i used polycom server , the downgrade is ok...

Thanks for your help

Hello @Boune,

welcome back to the Polycom community.

Your old post => here <= is still open / pending as you have not marked these as "Accept as a solution" or at least provided some form of feedback or answer.

If they are in this state nobody finding them via a community search will know if an answer or advice provided was useful and has maybe helped you.

Could you therefore kindly go over them and mark or answer as appropriate ?

If they are marked as "Accept as a solution" other users can find these easier and it helps them to utilise the community more efficiently.

Are you running UC Software 5.3.1 or what is your current software ?

In addition what Phone models are you trying to downgrade and do you get any errors or logs?

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hey Steffen

Thanks for your reply,

I tried to upgrade/downgrade a vvx400 polycom

the problem occured in any version of my vvx400 for example

upgrade from 5.3.0.13357 to 5.3.1.0436

downgrade from 5.6.0.17325 to 5.31.0436

it seems only my 5.3.1.0436 version wont work.

On the web interface i can chose my firmware 5.3.1.0436 , then click install , and i have the popup who said "the phone will reboot ..." but nothing happen.

Hello @Boune,

Are you having issues with the following:

  • Polycom hosted server?

If yes then there may be a network issue. We would need to see some kind of log to help.

Try the CURL and COPY module at Event 1
