Hi everyone!

I would like to know what Polycom IP phones has G722.1, G722.1c and G722.2 codecs support. I'm a testing engineer and I need to buy few Polycom ip phones for softswitch testing. In every datasheet or description I see only "G722 support" or "Polycom HD Voice". So does anybody know what are exact models which support these voice codecs? I'm interested in Polycom Sound Point IP 335 mostly. It would be great if someone attach a screenshot  of web interface with codecs settings page.

Hello AloeSys,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

A great source of Information is always the Admin Guide matching your Phone UCS / SIP Software.

As you have not purchased the SPIP 335 yet I checked the UCS 4.0.1 Admin Guide => here <=

The SPIP335 only supports G722.

Other Phones like the SSIP6000, SSIP7000 or the VVX1500 support in addition the G.722.1 or G.722.1C

Best Regards

Hi SteffenBaierUK,

Thank you so much for your answer. Unfortunately, I can't download such a big file because of a corporate proxy server. So, it means that if I want a hardware phone with G722.1 support (not a conference phone) I should buy VVX1500. It's a videophone and it costs over 1000$ in Russia. Do you know any cheaper Polycom solutions? If no, thanks again for your answers. I'll try to buy VVX1500.
