We're trying to use the group paging feature with UCS 5.2.0 and have found that there's a lot of echo versus using a paging group with Asterisk.  This has been tested between two endpoints in different rooms where there could not have been feedback and we still heard fairly significant echo.  I didn't see any echo cancellation settings for paging in the admin guide, any way to improve this?

Hello Eli,

You can't really compare the two things as they work completely different.

 

PTT utilizes a Multicast Stream and possibly a different codec than a groupd call in Asterisk where usually its just a inbound call from a server with Auto answer.

 

This could be network related and I advise to check for example => here <= on causes of echo.
