Hello elmemis,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

This is most likely caused by some miss configuration.

I would suggest you point the phone to a different provisioning server and manually provision the phone from a fresh clean downloaded SIP 2.1.3 version and manually configure your SIP settings.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: How can I setup my Phone / Provisioning / Download / Upgrade / Update / Downgrade Software?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

and

Oct 7, 2011 Question: Can I register or is my Polycom Phone compatible with a “XYZ” SIP Server?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Hi Steffan, thanks for your help.

The problem persist. I downloaded sip 2.1.3 and bootroom 3.2.3 from this link CLICK . I tried another server ftp and dhcp and don't work.

sip.cfg and phone1.cfg were not touched, are the originals, I only create file MAC-phone.cfg with this content:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<!-- Application SIP Mink 4.0.0.26884 09-Sep-11 12:32 -->
<!-- Created 19-09-2011 10:50 -->
<CONFIG>
        <OVERRIDES
                reg.1.address="3004"
                reg.1.auth.password="ab123456"
                reg.1.auth.userId="3004"
                reg.1.label="3004"
                reg.1.server.1.address="sip.server"
                />
</CONFIG>

and problem persist.

Show extension on display and reboot phone.

In the company we have 150 phones IP301 and 50 Shoreline IP100 (same IP500) working properly but Polycom IP500 don't work!!!

Our SIP servers are Asterisk 1.4, 1.6 and 11.2.

I need help! 😞

I could!!!! phones works!

Phones works with SPIP 2.1.2 and BootRoom 3.2.3, I tested and work. Try to reload the SPIP 2.1.3 version and it did not work.

In SPIP 2.1.3 correct this issue:

37995: Called party does not hear audio for 3 to 4 seconds after answering.

Polycom can resolve this issue or these phones are no longer supported?

Thanks for your help.

Hello elmemis,

The SoundPoint IP 500 has reached End of Life. Parts, support will no longer be available for this product after 5/01/2011. The SoundPoint 500 has been replaced by the SoundPoint IP 450 and 550.

Hello elmemis,

as a final follow up based on your comment:

" I only create file MAC-phone.cfg with this content:"

Only the phone creates this file and if you created this yourself you are not following the correct guidelines.

The Polycom phones create their own files like <mac>-phone.cfg,  <mac>-web.cfg,  <mac>-calls.cfg etc.

You should never use the same name for your own files.

Best Regards
