Hi there,

Having an issue getting Polycoms to sit in the correct VLAN when it is set using LLDP by an HP Procurve 2620.

The phone is switching between the untagged Data VLAN & tagged Voice VLAN.

Using Polycom 331 running bootrom 4.2.2 (have also tried 4.3.0) & SIP 3.2.2

ie.

- the phone boots into the Voice VLAN

- Gets to the stage where it has checked that it is running the correct bootrom/firmware

- Phone then reboots and picks up a data IP

- The phone constantly does this, but will successfully boot after 30mins-1hour

I am just trying to find out if anybody has seen the issue and worked out how to fix it. I will be running further tests this afternoon with packet captures etc to get more information.

Looks like it's a bug in the SIP 3.2.2 firmware (as noted in 3.3.0 release notes)

57849: Phone does not acquire the correct VLAN using LLDP

HP Recommended

1.Check LLDP-MED enabled on both switch and phone side

2.Check the show log whether you are getting any PVID mismatch

3.connect laptop on untaged port of voice and data valn and verify you are getting correct IP.

4. If DHCP leasing IP add for phone then check you have mentioned DHCP string option in DHCP server.
