Help! My handset is static-filled and no one can hear me speaking

I have a polycom soundpoint IP 550 office phone that has worked fine until recently: The line is either static-y or the people I call cannot hear me speaking. I have tried turning it on and off, re-plugging in all jacks but nothing is working. The other two office phones are working fine, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Are the other two Phones Polycom phones as well so you could simply try if the Handset is faulty?
