We use all VVX500's and since moving from firmware 4.0.3z to 4.1.6h with Interactive Intellegence 4.0 SU6, all the phone now go into a sleep state.  You can imagine the worry when we walked in the next day and the phones were dark.  We were thinking the worst like the swich / network was down.

Is there a way to disable it, at least just for those in the IT department maybe?  Does it really make that much of a difference in energy costs since they are all powered by our PoE switches anyway?  I see ways to change the timeout, but we have some long days on thurs/fri.

Hello kjstech,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

I can always recommend to check the relevant Admin Guide for key words.

Page 486 of the UC Admin Guide explains the Power Saving parameters:

<web powerSaving.enable="0" />

The same can also be archived via the Web Interface of the Phone.

Simply logon to the phone and then browse to Settings > Power Saving > General and Disable the Power Saving Feature

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
