I'm trying to simplify my FTP server by not bothering to download all the default .jpg images that migt ever end up on the phone, because I'm perfectly happy with the solid color pattern that I developed.  I pared background.cfg down to just the bits I needed, and the phone stops trying to download them all, as the ftp logs don't show the phone asking for them.

 

BUT:  Syslog complaints still come in from the phones:

How do I get rid of these spurious error messages in my syslog files?

Hello wpns,

these files are searched for by default and to my knowledge there is no way to stop the phone looking for them.

 

As they are only attempted to be downloaded when the phone boots I assume you can live with these error messages in the log.

 

They are not affecting the functionality of the phone in any way.
