Salvete!  Okay, here is a question that I couldn't find any answer to via faq or search.

When my polycom phones boot up, they look for license.cfg files - of which I don't have any.  I purshased my phones through a retailer, not a reseller. Nor do I have any features installed (I think) that require a license.

How can I disable the license check so that it the error is cleared from my app.log file?

Hello BGM,

the phone will always attempt to load whatever has been pre-programmed and this cannot be deactivated.

Checking the log of your Provisioning server will show these individual files.

If you wish to change the standard behavior of a Phone you will need to work with your Polycom Reseller and provide a business plan that justifies a change to the current method.

Best Regards

I don't have a reseller.  It was the log file that told me about the license file in the first place.  I just wanted to save it the trouble of always looking for what will never be.  Thanks anyway.

As a follow up as explained in the FAQ here:

[FAQ] Use Productivity Suite Features like Call Recording,H323 or LDAP / Corporate Directory

Free Site License (excluding VQMon) can be found => here <.

Above would no longer show an error as a valid license would be loaded by the phones.

Best Regards
