We have a dozen of Polycom 8800 phone at different sites. What's the best way to provision and manage them centrally?

Their settings need to be the same for the benefit of easy management and troubleshooting down the road.

Right now I use each phone's web interface to make changes. So I have to modify each setting a dozen times for everything I want to change. Is there an easier way to do this?

Hello Caller,

a provisioning server and DHCP options.

Simply unpack, plug into the network and they are working.

Hi Stephen,

I'm also using  a FTP server to help. But each phone has its own associate files. It's not one file for all. I still have to get into a dozen files to make the change.

Hello caller,

If you understand our file structure you have one file for the main settings and an individual file with the password and username.

I offer an unsupported script => here <=
