Hello,

I want to customize Flexible Line Key Assignments on a VVX400 phone via the web inteface. I have found several FAQs discussing which parameters I need to use so I think I understand that part.

My question is how to upload changes to a phone?

Do I use the Utilities: Import & Export Configuration section of the web utility?

If so do I simply create a new .cfg file and upload it? Does the name of the file matter? Does the contents of the file get ADDED to the existing web.cfg file or does it REPLACE the current web.cfg file?

Or do I first download the existing web.cfg file, then modify it, and finally upload it back up to the phone?

Thank you.

Hello

I am sure there is a FAQ post covering this but as I am travelling at present I simply reply.

Yes you import a XML formatted file with any name and the .cfg as name. Any change will append to the currently used configuration.

Please consult the FAQ and/or Admin guide for more details.

Steffen,

Thank you very much for the clarification. That's exactly how I was hoping it worked.

If you do find any FAQ on this specific topic, I wouldn't mind reading it. And I couldn't find the section of the admin manual that covered this specific topic.

Thanks again for your time.
