I can ping vvx550 ip address but I cannot log into it

I can ping vvx550 ip address but I cannot log into it

I have tried to log into to the ip of the phone to configure it but I cannot (and neither can coworker from different pc).  We get error that webpage is not available.  We obtained the ip address from the status menu on the phone itself.  Could there be a setting within the phone that prevents us from navigating to the configuration portal?

Hello fleeper,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

Please also include if you are using a SIP server or a LYNC server

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

My apologies.  We are using a SIP server and the UC version is 4.1.6.5374

Hello fleeper,

UC Software 4.1.6 is no longer a supported version as it has been superseded by newer releases.

 

Are you using some hosted service as they can disable the Web Interface.

The strange thing is we can log into one phone (both are on same POE switch sitting on our desk) via the web portal but the other we cannot.  That is why I was wondering if there was a setting within the phone that could block the use of the web utility.  Both phones are provisioned via our meta switch.
