Hi,

I am trying to upgrade an a Soundstation IP 6000, however the 4.40 bootrom is not being accepted by the device, and an error just appears on the phone saying it is not supported, however I believed it was as is available for download for it.

Can anyone confirm why this is happeneing, or do I need a different file or something?

thanks

Hello rsfrontier,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: How can I setup my Phone / Provisioning / Download / Upgrade / Update / Downgrade Software?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

Above explains that both the Updater and the UCS software must be in the same the directory.

The Phone would expect to download 3111-15600-001.bootrom.ld first and then after this 3111-15600-001.sip.ld

The only other reason the phone would fail to do so is that the Phone is actually a Polycom development unit.

You could see this on the countdown as it starts from 99 instead of 10.
