Hi,

I have an IP 6000 that I can't get onto our network.  It won't get a DHCP address and even if I put a static address into it, i can't ping it.

4.2.2.0710 is the bootrom version.  I know the cable and network are fine, because i've used other phones on this same cable.  I've also tried flashing it, but i'm not sure if i did it right.

Thoughts?

Hello CrownITNY,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Can you span a port to get a wireshark trace to see if the Phone is sending a DHCP discover or any network activity?

Hi!

Well, i did one step easier than that.  I plugged it directly into the switch and it gets PoE, but the switch doesn't light up that there is any network connectivity.  Does that mean the phone is bad?

Hello CrownITNY, this is a possibility if a wrong power supply was plugged into the Ethernet connection for example. Please liaise with your Polycom reseller. Best Regards Steffen Baier
