Hi,

Recently purchased the IP 7000.

Everything seems setup correct and it is on our Avaya system manager and works fine.

However we can only seem to conference in 2 people and that is it.

After pressing the conf sign after the second number is dialled it will not allow us to.

Is this due to a licensing issue?

I have checked the web interface and Under -Line I have even tried to add 5 calls per line as that was blank and nothing seems to work.

Please advise as I can't find anything on the web except for one post but it doesn't have much explination.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply Steffan,

what exactly does 'All phones support three-party local conferencing.' mean?

Does this indicate that including the actual phone you can only attach another 2 parties to the phone?

Many thanks

Hello,

this means that the Phone can call a maximum of 2 other numbers and then conference itself with these two creating a three party conference call.

Above is a physical limitation as the actual conference is held within the phone and not on a SIP Platform that usually holds dedicated DSP's for this.

Best regards

ITDude,

I've just joined and came accross your query, I had a similar query re an IP6000 on our Mitel 3300 platform, Polycom IP sets are limited to 3 parties ie the IP set + two others, but the the Mitel Multi party conf feature allows 8. I changed the sip parameter "replace System based with device based in call features" from the recommended yes to no on our Mitel controller. This means when you press hold the call is held on the (Mitel) PBX rather than the phone, allowing us to bring up to 7 patties into the conference call. (I also needed to add the multi party call feature access code (*4 in our case) to the digitmap). Assuming Avaya has the same feature I guess this would work for you?

Cheers,

John.
