hi,

i have a polycom ip7000 and i need to change my PBX server address, but whenever I try to make the change, whether it be by web interface or through the phone, the changes won't save.

the phone will reboot and the settings will revert to the old settings.

i've tried doing every type of reset and the phone will always revert to the original settings.

Can you advise how I can fix this?

Hello allitnils,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hello Michael,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We would need to reproduce this in our lab so could I kindly ask you to raise this via your Polycom reseller?

ScanSource Video Communications GmbH sold this phone back in 29/09/2015 so it is still within warranty and they should be able to open a case for you on this.

We would need some personal details and your configuration to replicate this and we are unable to do this via the community.

Has anyone resolved the issue of the Polycom IP 7000 not allowing for the phone server IP address to be changed? I am also experiencing this issue. I cahnge the IP address and the device shows Applying Changes but the change is never processed.

Hello marti00,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is sill useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

I had asked the same question the original poster.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"
