Hi all,

I've bought an IP7000 under the assumption it would be compatible with our ISP managed PBX (IP Centrex), unfortunately turns out it isn't.

I'd really like to avoid getting stuck with a pretty looking and expensive piece of plastic. 😞

From the PBX management portal I can generate provisioning files for the following IP phones:

  • ATLINKS IP600 (SIP-ADV PWD)
  • ATLINKS IP800 (SIP-ADV PWD)
  • AUDIOCODES MP102 (MGCP 1)
  • AUDIOCODES MP112 (MGCP 1)
  • CISCO 7940G (MGCP)
  • CISCO 7960 (MGCP)
  • EYEPMEDIA EYEP_COMMUNICATOR (SIP-ADV PWD 1)
  • GIGASET A510 (SIP-ADV PWD)
  • LG IP-8815 (MGCP 1)
  • LG IP-8830 (SIP-ADV PWD 1 SRT)
  • LG IP-8840 (MGCP 1)
  • SNOM 300 (SIP-ADV PWD 1)
  • THOMSON ST2030 (MGCP 1)
  • THOMSON ST2030 (MGCP 1)
  • THOMSON TB30 FW (MGCP 1)

I'm wondering if maybe one of these models has a closer configuration to what the Polycom needs and if by opening the configuration file I can translate the settings and manually provision the IP7000 to work.

Currently I managed to get the following settings, but as far as I know they're not sufficient to fully configure an IP phone:

call_server_address
mgc_port

sntp_server_address

Can anyone point me on the right track?

Thanks in advance!
