The screen on this IP 7000 is blank. The phone boots up and functions properly (make/receive calls, access the web administrator, etc.), but the screen is just blank the entire time. It shows nothing during bootup and nothing during normal operation. However, the backlight is clearly working, so I'm not sure that there is something physically wrong with the display.

I have factory reset and reprovisioned the phone multiple times, same result. The screen is completely blank during bootup or normal operation. The phone is running:

UC Software Version    4.0.8.1608
BootROM Software Version    5.0.1.10553

Any ideas? Does it seem like a hardware issue? If so, what is the RMA process? The phone was purchased from Amazon in January.

Hello SunstateTech,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Was this a new phone or a second hand one ?

If new please work with Amazon on an RMA.

I don't understand, so that means you definitely think it is a faulty phone? Why is the seller responsible for the RMA process? This would fall under the 12 month manufacturer warranty, not the 30 day return window most sellers offer.

Hello SunstateTech,

I am not sure what country you purchased the unit in but the display not operating is definitely a issue which can only be solved via an RMA.

Is this a day one problem or has this only recently occurred ?

A End User cannot raise an RMA with Polycom and as Amazon has sold you the goods they need to look after the RMA.
