Hi i'm thinking about upgrading to these - can anyone (maybe from polycom) advise:

* If the network link is Gigabit Ethernet when using PoE (it doesn't revert down to 100 Mbps)

* If I can pass an alert info auto answer for certain calls (as in older phones)

* Does it support "Acoustic Bubble" on Headset? Handset? Speaker?

* When it was originally released to market and the anticipated EOL for software updates

Thanks

Hello MRH2,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

  • For details on the SPIP 560 Network connectivity please check the Data sheet => here <=. PoE has nothing to do with the network speed and simply powers the phone.

  • In regards of SIP INFO Headers please check the relevant Admin Guide matching your unknown software version and in addition check the VoIP FAQ post => here <=

  • Support for Polycom® Acoustic Fence is a VVX UC Software 5.3.0 or later feature only. The SPIP560 is not compatible with that software version.

  • The SPIP560 was released back in 2007 and for EOL details please check => here <=

For any additional details please ensure to work with your Polycom reseller who you purchased the units from.

ok it seems the VVX series is the area of current focus.

would it be possible to advise when the VVX 600 was first released?

Hello MRH2,

I believe the VVX600 was introduced with UC Software 4.1.2 back in December 2012.
