IP6000

I have an IP6000 that I reset to factor defaults.

Its stuck on intializing network. When I check the DHCP table of router..it shows the unit as online...and then it goes offline and then back online. When it IS online it assigns it an IP address. which I tired logging in to phone with from browser but it doesnt connect.

Please advise.

Thank you,

Sheldon

Re: IP6000

Hello sheldon,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

As the above seems not possible please ensure you update the SSIP 6000 to the latest Firmware

Oct 7, 2011 Question: How can I setup my Phone / Provisioning / Download / Upgrade / Update / Downgrade Software?
Resolution: Please check => here <=

Thank you Steffan. I have a dated firmware...but how can I update it if I can't get the device to register?

Re: IP6000

Hello sheldon,

if you read the Update FAQ post above you will see that via using DHCP Options the phone will be provided with the upgrade server details.

Most likely you wiped the phones software and the display should show application not found or similar. You have not really provided enough details to attempt and help you.
