We have IP650s and IP331s all setup for group paging. It works fine, but the receive volume is not persisting. You can set the incoming page volume to max, but after a couple of minutes it reverts to a little over half volume. Is there a way to set the default paging volume in the xml file? Or some fix for it not persisting?
IP650
UC Version: 4.0.9
Thanks

Experienced this same issue last year after upgrading our phones. After opening a service request I got this response and this has worked quite well for us. Hope this helps!
This is what I ended up adding to our config file...
<ptt ptt.volume="0"/>
"VOIP-=SP Since upgrading from 4.0.4.5703 to 4.0.7.2514 the paging volume is now reset between pages and the handsfree volume is not persistent through calls."
In regards to the paging volume resetting I have been informed that there is a parameter for this but it isn't documented yet because it doesn't "work perfectly in all software versions". You'll have to try it on your 4.0.7 version and I was told that it does work (hopefully fixed for good) in version 4.0.8. It's ptt ptt.volume="xx"
• default = -20 (whereas default for ptt.emergencyChannel.volume is -10)
• max = 0
• min = -57
This is the volume of pages relative to the maximum speaker volume of the phone. A more negative number is quieter. Every new non-emergency page will start with this volume level. The user can then adjust the paging volume during an active page but it will not affect the ringer volume as has been noted in some software versions. It would need to be tested.

That worked PERFECTLY.
Thank you SO much!
