IP7000 computer calling kit and standard stereo amp

New member here so if I posted in the wrong area, please advise.

We have an IP7000 that I would like to connnect to a standard Sony stereo amp to have the sound from the caller go thru the amp to speakers in the ceiling. Our phone would be on mute. This would be for calling in to presentations, etc.

I was thinking of using the computer calling kit, but wanted to verify if this would do what I am trying to do before spending the money. Can this be done with just a 2.5mm stereo cable to an adapter into the amp?

Thanks.

Hello MiamiTed,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The computer calling kit is for such and optimized for this. I am not aware if the signal level is sufficient for your proposed usage.

The multi mod interface comes with a proper RCA output that would suit this planned installation.

I leave the decision to yourself and please work with your Polycom reseller for further follow up questions.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
